Sommer Bennett, CPD (CBI)

Sommer is a wife of 15 years and a mother of 2.  She has a 12 year old son and a 8 year old daughter.  She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Kennesaw State University in 2001 and was certified as a Postpartum Doula from Childbirth International in 2017.

 

A Note From Sommer

I have always been passionate about motherhood, pregnancy, and babies!  Throughout all of my education and experiences I never really knew what career I wanted.  But I did always know that I wanted to be a mother.  It was my one true dream.  And even still, the day I came home with my son, it was a shock.  For as prepared as I was, it was such a huge shift in my life and I was completely rattled by the upheaval.  Throughout my years of motherhood, I have realized how much I enjoy helping other new moms through those trying first weeks and months.  I began to realize that becoming a doula might just be the career that I didn’t know I always wanted!  I look forward to meeting you and helping you navigate this new phase in your beautiful life!
